Standard Chartered is set to host its Cohort 4 Women in Tech Pitch and Graduation Ceremony in September.

The accomplishments of twenty outstanding women who have finished the Standard Chartered Women in Tech (SCWIT) program will be honored at this event.

Even with the IT industry's explosive expansion, women are still disproportionately underrepresented, especially in leadership positions and business endeavors.

Recent surveys show that women only make up 26% of computing-related workers, and even fewer head digital businesses .

These difficulties are made worse for female company owners of technology SMEs by their restricted access to networks, funding, and mentorship—all of which are essential for the expansion and longevity of their companies.

It is not just a question of justice but also of economic necessity to remove these obstacles. Gender-diverse teams are 21% more likely to achieve above-average profitability, according to research, underscoring the unrealized potential of women in technology.

In response, the Standard Chartered Women in Tech (SCWIT) initiative was created to give women the resources, opportunity, and encouragement they require to thrive in the technology sector.

The program offers access to one-on-one mentorship from industry experts, networking opportunities, and hands-on experience in developing and refining their business ideas. Participants engage in a series of intensive in-person and online classes and workshops covering various aspects of entrepreneurship, including business strategy, financial management, marketing, and sustainable business practices.
