Master Jehoshaphat Inkoom (Je-Hope) launched a groundbreaking initiative, providing free health screening for market women and drivers at UCC, and inspiring positive change in his community.

This year’s Valentine’s Day was a time of meaningful impact and love-sharing for Team JE-HOPE. Beyond bringing smiles to students with disabilities and special needs, the team also extended its outreach to the wider university community.

Master Jehoshaphat Inkoom, popularly known as Je-Hope, an aspiring SRC president has recently made headlines for his commendable initiative aimed at improving community health. He organized a free health screening event specifically for market women and drivers at the UCC taxi rank, demonstrating his commitment to the well-being of those who play vital roles in the local economy.

The event attracted a significant number of participants, highlighting the importance of accessible healthcare services. Many market women and drivers, who often face long hours of work and limited access to medical facilities, seized this opportunity to undergo essential health checks. The screenings included tests for common health issues, consultations with healthcare professionals, and educational sessions on maintaining good health practices.

Je-Hope's initiative not only provided immediate health services but also raised awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups. By targeting often-overlooked groups in the community, he has set a precedent for future health initiatives that prioritize the needs of local citizens. This event exemplifies how individual efforts can lead to meaningful change and contribute to the overall health and well-being of a community.

Master Jehoshaphat Inkoom (JE-HOPE), founder of Scholar Connect and aspiring SRC President of UCC, encouraged the traders and drivers to prioritize their health and uphold cleanliness in their surroundings. He emphasized that such measures are crucial in preventing cholera and other infectious diseases, ultimately fostering a healthier environment for all.
